Sydney Ports has achieved a record container throughput, reaching a total of 1.784 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) in the 2008-09 financial year, up 0.3% compared to the previous financial year. Despite the global economic downturn, strong full export growth of 14.9% contributed to this result.
